(no subject)
Wow, so, you know this Livejournal thing? It's a place where you have an account for like several years and then stop posting but keep checking in on people and then maybe you feel sort of lame for not posting and you're like "dammit I should post." It's pretty cool, this Livejournal thing.
Anyway. The sad news is that our cockatiel Rambo died earlier this month. He was a complete sweetheart. And it was only a few days after we lost him that I realized who he reminded me of: Hugh Laurie being an upperclass twit. Bertie Wooster, assorted Blackadder characters. Rambo, god bless him, had a certain way of standing around all tall, puffing out his chest, going "TWEEP TWEEP HI THERE I'M A COCKATIEL TWEEP TWEEP OH HEY IT IS A GIRL COCKATIEL WHAT DO I DO TWEEP TWEEP."
He was your basic perfect little cockatiel. Here he is, the one on the right:

But, the happy news is that he has a namesake on Chickam. Go, Rambo-the-chicken, go! I hope velvet_sparrow doesn't mind me putting this up, but Rambo is the mysterious shadowed figure to the left:
In news other than pets, uh...well...the Kidlet is thriving. She thinks "cat" is the punchline to every joke. "Eat a beet--cat!" "Heck no--cat!" "Good morning--cat!" Does that even count as non-pet news?
