New Job but not really...

Working from home with no remote access is hard...  Well actually it's impossible to actually DO the job at all.

I have been supplied with a laptop but I can't log into it because this needs to be done for the first time whilst connected to the system in the office and the idiots nice people in IT didn't bother to do that before they sent it to

Congrats on the new job and being paid. Even when you're not new to a job, WFH is a PITA. My boss had a similar issue with his laptop, even though he had logged on before leaving the office and it worked for several days, then decided it didn't like his credentials any more.

SiL started a new job last week and is watching training vids, but there's not a lot else she can do for now. But she's getting paid.
