This past Thursday and Friday I was at the annual Book Expo America held at the Javits Center in New York City. I also attended the BEA Bloggers Conference (formerly the Book Bloggers Conference) on Wednesday. Here's my (supah long) report of these things.

Ooh, I have four of those books on my wishlist :-) The Dream Thieves, Parasite, Invisibility, Across a Star-Swept Sea.

The Dream Thieves and Across a Star-Swept Sea were my must haves (along with Rose Under Fire). AND those two were the ones other bloggers asked me to look for but I couldn't get a second copy even when I asked with pleading sad eyes. :\

You have the new Wein? SO LUCKY! I'm looking forward to that one. :) I hope it's just as good as CODE NAME VERITY. :)

Yup, it was one of the ones I wanted to be sure to get, and I was like 45 minutes early to the signing, I was that determined! Of course it turns out that they did a huge drop earlier in the day that I TOTALLY missed, but at least mine is signed? *pets her copy*.

Thank you for writing this up! I've always wanted to attend BEA but living on the other coast makes it virtually impossible, so I really enjoy reading summaries like this.

I'm glad people are finding the write up useful. :) After 2016 I think BEA might be moving (maybe to Chicago?) so maybe that would be better (or maybe not!).

Oh the whole nice thing drives me insane. Critics are not kind, why should we? We are not the mothers of authors. Oh well.

Yes. It gets really tiring hearing it over and over. Reviews are NOT for the authors anyway!

I felt like one of the panelist was really in love with her iphone and so all her suggestions for apps to get were very much skewed for iphone users. I don't have one either.
