Sirens - Ash/Stuart - AU - 1/2lipstickcatDecember 3 2012, 14:59:05 UTC
Friday nights were always the worst for some reason. Stuart suspected that it had something to do with the build up. All those civilised, suited and booted people on the countdown since Sunday night, just waiting for the weekend to start again. They exploded as soon as the countdown hit zero, and shrapnel would have been too nice a thing to ask for as contents of these human time bombs. No. They were all full of piss and blood and vomit and spunk. And he got to clean it all up again afterwards. Lucky him

It was a few days later, a Sunday afternoon drop off of a kid that have tried to put various pieces of lego up his nose, that Stuart saw him again. By some miracle, it was the first time that they’d returned to the hospital they’d left Ash at two nights previously, and while the EMT had caught himself wondering about the last patient he’d left there, he really hadn’t expected to see him. First thing let me tell you that I was so uber-excited when I saw what fandom it was because seriously SIRENS. There's not enough of that around and I loved that show so much, so just the fandom wins. But omg this was awesome. Stuart was *so* Stuart in this, oh dear. I just could hear every line, especially at the beginning when he complained about having to stay in the back of the ambulance. Bless. And Maxine showing up was awesome. Also omg Stuart actually being sort of nice (as far as he gets I suppose) with Ash. Also
“Hi Stuart, I’m Ash. I’m going to be your patient.”
Fuck. Fucking Scottish twang. No wonder Maxine was so keen on him. Okay, I kind of died at that. The dialogue was amazing, seriously. And the reference to the alpha thing about had me chucking like crazy. (At least Rashid wasn't weighing in on that I suppose...) and omg Ash actually waiting for him outside the hospital was the sweetest thing and I love that he just totally went with it and caught Stuart off guard. And the last

I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! I really enjoyed writing it too! Its been so long since I last turned my hand to fanfic, but this came out so naturally. I'm completely in love with Stuart, so much so that Rhys Thomas is pretty much my happy place now (honestly, I can watch pretty much anything with him in and be happy). I wish they would make a second season of Sirens though, there's so much left for them to cover yet.
