It's so nice to read a myth retold, and it's retold beautifully for this time of year. The language you use is very evocative, I actually really felt like i was there walking hand in hand with Hades. I love the way you invoked the different aspects of the Underworld, the unnerving presence of the primordial Titans in the darkest recesses of everything, the Elysium fields. The section with Cerberus was particularly wonderful, i love the way you described him/her disorientating and otherworldly.

My favourite section was the River Lethe, just beautiful. And all through out it, the sense of hope and of the spark burning and the constant change She brings. I'm going to share this with my coven, if you don't mind, i think they would really appreciate it.

While i'm commenting, i'll just rec this fic Timeless Dreams by cinderbella333. It's a retelling of the myth of the Dream God Aengus, woven in with an AU story about River/Doctor, and it's flawless, i think you'd like it.

Thanks!

Please feel free to share with your coven. I'd especially love to hear any kind of take y'all come up with for ritual purposes.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to catch up on the Dream God story over the holidays, sounds great!

Yay! A picture?

The Doctor and River entangled in an ornate chair that's part of a magnificent starry tree, of course. With snow.

Yay!
