all the liverpool fans on my flist (except risa) can hange their collective heads in shame

none of us remembered, but risa. i am deeply, deeply ashamed. mostly of myself- as forgetful as i am, there are something that must not be forgotten. and so we begin-

(you may wonder why i'm posting this, and why i'm reducing myself to a pile of psuedopoetic fangirlish flailing, for as important as the man is, and the event: it is just another ( Read more... )

Liverpool makes my eyes twitch but the feeling is certainly there, you know I know what you mean, after that one Raul essay I posted.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KING KENNY! Such a lovely little piece you wrote about him there. :D Made me all nostalgic. Even though I don't exactly remember him.

it's strange to feel so nostalgic about something you couldn't witnes, no? but i get these odd twinges about certain stuff, like shankly's time or kenny or, the best, the fowler era. ♥

It is. I guess it's because we hear so much about it all, and it's part of our club.

hi meghna. :-)
going backwards on entries to see what i've missed...

i hope you understand just because people didn't post doesn't mean they didn't remember, though.

i wonder why some ex-players/managers criticise us so much, and even downplay/rationalize our successes (e.g. tv pundits) as if they never were, part of the club. kenny (lfc personified imo) seems to be the nicest of all, don't you think? :">

:O hello. i've missed you- it';s been a while, hasn't it? :D. although there probably isn't must to read in my entries- basically flailing/ wailing at liverpool's emotional rollecoaster of a season and then some.

oh, i wasn't criticizing anyone, except well, myself to a certain extent for being moronic enough to remember the day before and promptly forget the day after. and a few people who i knew slipped up, too. by no means a generalization of 'pool fans.

oh dear, yes! jamie redkanpp/ steve macca and some other whose names elude me at 1 am have been so quick to sneer at rafa, whenever kenny speaks out in support of us, of him, i just feel all warm and fuzzy inside. can't argue with the man. can't. ♥

because i wanted to try out the neat-o italics in your layout...

aw, i've missed you too. :] i've missed flailing and wailing too, so much that there hasn't been anything of worth to see in my entries for a long time.

it's okay. people might get the dates wrong but it's his legacy that really must be remembered :-) and i myself am sometimes guilty of generalization (i think we've discussed this before -- about footie fanbase in RL, school/country in particular). i actually found a classmate who i think is a decent liverpool fan so maybe, maybe there's hope in the world. (of course there is, why, we even got ourselves a happiness-generating, goalscoring machine) :D
