It's begun, Paula. The team I said I didn't like is on it's way to becoming the new Manchester United and is winning by an inexcusable margin. Rahul Dravid is our ex Indian cricket captain, and he is sad because his team are getting pounded, thrashed, stepped on and crushed (and smirked on by an entourage of mean media hogging celebrities). Why do all the sports gods hate me? :((
They don't hate you, they like to make you suffer so that when one of your teams wins something (CL, please? league next season?) you can be extra happy. That's what keep telling myself anyway.
But he's crying now! Or, close to it, anyway. And Shah Rukhhn and his wife and his gay boyfriend (for srs) are all smiling and jumping (they're the hideous celeb owners of the stupid Knight Riders), and that's not nice.
That is precisely why I refuse to watch TV until Euro 2008 comes around. Even the thought of Tendulkar leading out a Mumbai team leaves my heart mostly totally cold.
I doubt it is, but yes, yes the IPL is very sinfully addictive. And I might get to see real live famous international crickets here oh my GOD.. We should so get into it secretly together, away from disapproving veteran cricket fans eyes and commence the fangirling!.
My dad will never let me live it down if I get into cricket after sixteen years of strongly vocalised loathing of it. D: I'm just LOLing at the team names for now. :P (But am so going to follow it in secret.)
have such a love hate thing with it, I was obsessive during the two world cups, and some time after them, show random interest at times, and hate it/ feel apathetic towards it at others. So I don't know. O_O
