thank you - part of me kinda misses the sky, but I don't miss the Texas sun.

Thank you -- I am so very pleased, didn't think it would be so neat and nice.

And this year, of all years, that shade will be so very appreciated. *g*

No kidding -- although we're in a cooling trend here: Only 99* tomorrow. Sigh.

Wow, that looks great! About the only thing I don't like about my current house is that it barely has eaves, whereas my previous (much older) house did. In summer, something like your deck's roof is really needed!

Yeah, no eaves on this house either. I didn't hate the old deck being mostly open, but the sun killed my potted plants and it was impossible to sit outside most of the day without frying. The roof really does help, and it looks really nice. Will miss star-gazing but the tradeoff is likely worth it.

Not only is the porch cute, it will help keep your house cooler! All you need are two cute rocking chairs and you'll be good to go!

Yes, and it protects my French doors -- I did get the gutter replaced already, but I like having a roof over it to make sure water doesn't get in.
