I was thinking about the death of Mr. Gygax and the impact that it would have on the D&D scene. I don't think the pricing of the books is going to change at all (that would just be silly, he's hardly tied to it anymore as it's mostly run by WotC!), but I think that I would be surprised if the big W didn't run some sort of series on the website about his life and whatnot. He was a prominent figure for the game in all of its iterations. Even now the framework that he laid was being looked back upon for future revisions, and will likely continue to be looked at as the game continues to evolve.
I tip my hat to a man who truly became larger than life in the eyes of nerds around the world.
