I read about his passing on CNN. It's very sad. I've known his name since in the way-back days of FX work.

Oh my gosh... I really looked up to Stan WInston's work... this is so unreal. I really found his desire to be genuine and passion for his work to be an inspiration. Most of the things I go back and watch on video when I want some inspiration in art and graphics are works of his, including The Making of Jurassic Park and other behind the scenes stuff. He's one of the biggest names in my ILM book...wow. I share your missing him on this day; he will hold a special place in my heart as an inspiration and one who I strove to learn from, even from afar.
