I feel like I've spent the last week in a cramped little pod in space, furiously working to get back to Earth. My mind is like a... burning ship loaded with... plankton... big plankton... Unable to operate at current temperature

I feel ya, baby. I'm going through the last stages of my annual head cold right now, and my skull feels like it's full of lukewarm grits. My lungs are clogged, I've got chills (they're multipying), my thoughts are scrambled, and I can't muster the energy to write, or draw, or even read. All I want to do is sip a cup of matzoh ball soup, knock back a cognac, then crawl under the quilt and sleep for a week.
But that's not reality. I have a family that needs me, and a day job to go to in the morning, and two conventions and a Christmas party coming up.
A man with so much for which to be thankful has no business feeling sorry for himself, so I'm going to drink the rest of this bottle of San Pellegrino, take my brain candy and asthma medicine, and go to bed.
I hope your cold clears up soon. I'm also very glad to hear about your work! One of these days I will make it to your Christmas party. I will see you at Oni-Con though! (And good matzoh ball soup is not too far away from there, in case we need or want it. :D )
Oh they were smart. The hatch was welded shut and the explosive bolts deactivated so no matter how hard I tried to get it open I couldn't. I ended up sitting there in orbit mumbling, "Open the pod door, Jan." "I'm sorry Jan, I can't do that" for hours.
School at the end of the semester is HELL. I always wanted to curl up into a ball and stay that way until the next semester began.
Good luck on all the studying, and awesome job for working so hard. 18 hours of Math is probably my equivalent to the tenth circle of hell. I couldn't do it. The writing, yes. The math, hell no.
First off--Hi, I'm new to your journal, I hope you don't mind my being here.
Second...ouch! Best of luck on your studies--perhaps you can pick up some of this when it's done and you can finally relax. This stuff is great for detoxing the body and helping you sleep. :3
Hee, I see you at almost all the cons around here--not to mention we've quite a few friends in common. It was time. :)
The mustard bath gets rave reviews from most of my clients (*is a masseuse*), and Amazon has it for the best price that I've seen--by all means, hit up someone with a jacuzzi tub. XD
