i mean i'm free, but...

i'm having a wonderful summer. living with three friends, (boys, which has suited me,) reading and cooking and playing outside and watching movies and occasionally working. i've devised a plan with truitt that involves me doing some odd tasks in exchange for voice lessons (although i think she would give for free if she could.) i'm finding a church ( Read more... )

so i guess when squirrels bury nuts in the ground, some of them start to grow. and i guess on our campus there are lots of little oak tree saplings that most people would identify as weeds. my roomate's dad came to visit this weekend and spent all of yesterday evening digging up these little baby trees and putting them in cups to take home and ( Read more... )

my family is coming to lughnasa! i'm so excited that they'll see me do something i really love/am proud of. and maybe they'll feel (momentarily) better about my career choice:) 

during the beginning stage of samuel beckett's celebrity, his next door neighbors had a child with a physical abnormality. they didn't have a car and the kid couldn't ride the bus because of his condition, so beckett drove the kid to and from school every day. out of the goodness of his heart? as some sort of morbid experiment? nobody knows. today has been the BEST day. the sermon this morning was exactly what i needed to hear, the a cappella concert was super fun and everyone really stepped up for the unchained read-through. ob la di, ob la da.

somebody please say you saw that sunset today. i almost wrecked like 8 times coming home from work...which is about 5 times more than normal. AND somebody please say you have the new beatles love cd and have been listening to it since you bought it. it's goood.
