I just read on Dark Horizons that Desperate Housewives is adding Dana Delaney to the cast.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching the first season on dvd and even liked the ridiculous second season.  I got lost after Jackie  got shot dead in a grocers.  I don't know who killed Orson's wife or wives...I just don't know.  (Anybody willing to shed some light ( Read more... )

Okay, I'll comment on the rest of this later, but I totally feel you on feeling better about myself after spending money. I don't know why ... but dropping cash on DVDs or books or something makes me feel SO much better about myself.

I suppose it's because I live a shallow, meaningless life?

The more i see the trailer for "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry".. the more i am offended... you are right, could they fit more stereotypes into the movie (especially the whole "fighting like we're in a relationship but we're not really in a relationship" thing)

totally fucking lame....

but i would say to give Transformers a chance... i don't think that Michael Bay should be heaped on praise because of it... but it's a good action flick with lots of 'splosions :D

My boy Roger Ebert said basically the same thing. He said that people can say Michael Bay sometimes sucks, but that you have to love him for making something as fun as Transformers. So maybe I'll have to use my AMC free pass on it sometime.

And yeah...Chuck and Larry is so fucking lame also because so many impressionable people are going to be seeing it. It's almost like an anti-same-sex-marriage propaganda movie. It's basically saying "same sex marriages are farce." It's ridiculous. And it's such an insidious thing because the stereotypes are so subversive because Sandler probably didn;t MEAN to make such a socially bankrupt film. I still always laugh when Sandler touches Biel's chest and says "yucky" though. So...maybe I'm just as bad. :)

coming from someone who lived in providence and weirdly misses it, it's not the worst state in the union. when we first moved there, it was a big culture shock, much bigger than i anticipated. it is slightly dirty, there are no apparent traffic laws, and the accents are RAMPANT (my boss called me "jessiker."). however, the longer you stay, the more you find there is to love about the littlest state in the union. i crave nice slice just thinking about it...

also, the state is run by the mafia. seriously. so, hardly no crime.

I know why you wrote that reply.

Jeskuh...they're not watching anymore. The mafia isn't reading my livejournal. You don't have to say Providence is nice anymore. It's not your fault.

It's not your fault.
