- I've been wondering recently why Helen Mirrer isn't on any of those top 100 hottest women lists.  She's clearly more beautiful than 90% of the women in those magazines, yet she is ignored.  Is this because she's 62?  I honestly can't think of many women who have gotten better looking as they've gotten older.  And I only mention this because I ( Read more... )

I am scared that FNL won't even last through the whole season. The logic of the move to Friday night, I think, is that the word "Friday" is in the title. SOMEBODY is watching TV on Friday night ... I mean ... Ghost Whisperer is still on the air. NBC isn't spending the money to promote FNL, which is a shame. If they dropped a few spots in during the Heroes premiere, they might reach a bit more of their target audience.

But ... you know. Apparently it was really important that we see the same Nissan commercial 17 times.

I agree about Helen Mirren ... she's a stone cold fox.

That Nissan commercial was pretty cool at first, though. I was like "OHH! Labyrinth! I had one of those marble games!!!"

Why wouldn't NBC put Friday Night Lights on after a successful show? Like...why not have it on Thursday at 10? Who the hell still watches ER? Why can't all of the old folks watch it on Friday night?

I'm all caught up with FNL and loved it. I take issue with some of the writing and acting; otherwise, I love it. Mostly Tim Riggins. There's one point where his dad jacks some expensive camera and he actually says to coach
"He's my FATHER." and it was so bad. Also, I wonder what more they can add to the plot. The won the championship, they had steroids & recruiting scandals, racism, horrible injuries...

I find myself asking "What's next?"
I can't wait to see the premiere, but as for dvd I've moved on to nip/tuck. How have I missed that for so many years?

I've seen Shadowboxer advertised on netflix and keep thinking that maybe I should put it on my queue, but haven't been able to do it. I'll give it a try, though.
