I love reading the Netflix reviews of movies that I love.

I was reading some of the reviews of Atonement.  I can understand someone giving it a 3 or a 4, just because they weren't down with the time period or whatever...but giving it the lowest rating of 1 seems so crazy.

The thing is...Atonement is probably going to win a LOT of awards and I think

We don't get Atonement until January 4th but I'm planning on seeing Juno ASAP. I agree about Joe Wright and can't wait to see this tracking shot you're talking about.

PS - I really enjoyed reading Atonement. It's the only thing I've read by McEwan. Parts were kind of slow but overall I really liked it.

Pick up Amsterdam by McEwan from your local library.
It's shorter than Atonement and a much quicker read.

Also, glad to hear you're getting into The Historian. It's one of my recent favorites...when it didn't put me to sleep.
