I decided that I would keep track of the movies I watched and the books I read about 2 years ago.  Listing the movies on here would be impossible, as I've seen almost 1200 movies since I started keeping track, but I've only read 70+ books since I started keeping track.  77 doesn't seem like a lot, does it?  I'm not doing it to as a competition ( Read more... )

Those are some great books! I need to ask you more on books to read, although my to-read books list is extensive. Have you been to goodreads.com? That's how I set up my reading lists. Also, good luck with the trainer!

I haven't been to goodreads.com, but I'll check it out. I don't really have reading lists. My methods are much more whimsical and haphazard. I go to the library once a week and try to get as many books as I can, whether because I've heard of them and they interest me or because the covers are pretty.

Young Avengers is my jams. It's almost as good as Brian K Vaughn's Runaways (which you should TOTALLY check out). Hulking and Wiccan are clearly my favorite, and I'm looking forward to seeing more Iron Lad if Mitch ever gets around to writing season two (what's it been, two years now?). I'm also a huge Avengers fan, so Young Avengers was a no-brained after Disassembled. Civil War had its good moments (most of them happening in Ed Brubaker's Captain America book). You didn't mention your thoughts on that one, what say you? I loved the thought of two Avengers teams springing out, one underground and one legit. Haven't read Eternals yet, and your review doesn't inspire me to run and check it out either.

The Eternals isn't bad. It's fairly entertaining, but the heroes are kind of boring. It feels like it should be a DC comic where all the classic heroes are just a little less cool than Marvel's.

I haven't gotten around to reading the Captain America book, but I have it on my person. I've never really liked Cap until I played Marvel Alliance and used him for 1/2 of the game. I loved that game so much.

Speaking of Brian K. Vaughan, I started reading Y:The Last Man and I love it. I wish I had a pet monkey named Ampersand.
