Keep talking up MI:5 and I might eventually get over my Tom Quinn angst and finish the rest of Series 3. I've also heard wonderful things about Jeeves and Wooster ... it might even be buried somewhere in the bottomless pit of my Netflix queue. Well done.

Adam Carter is just way better than Tom Quinn. Tom Quinn went out with a band and that's cool...but you will certainly grow to love Adam Carter more. He's a better written character with much more depth and likeability. The thing that has always bugged me about Tom Quinn is how idealistic he is. It's as if he has a running monologue in his head saying that he'll do anything for his country as long as it's ethical. Would James Bond say that? No. Neither does Adam Carter. You'll love Adam Carter's wife and son, too. I loved Tom Quinn, too and was sad when he died, but things just get ten times better when he's gone (and when the lead woman is gone).
