I have sucked at keeping this thing updated with interesting tidbits. Sorry. One thing that kind of bugs me about LJ is that I have never been able to get pics to post properly here. I try using Flickr or Photobucket but they always wind up looking...off. I take a lot of pics and I would like to share them but I feel like it is more work than it is

i guess i stalk too. i always mean to write, and seem to have a lot of crap to purge lately, but i can't seem to do it. i also like how one can sort friend groups on here because even though i have 3 facebook accts (one for games only, one for family only, and one for "friends"), i still feel weird posting my truth on there. i doubt anyone cares what i think, feel or do anyway. at least on LJ, i can ramble. no one ever replied on my LJ posts when i bothered to do them, so i always just assumed no one cared or read them. i recently figured out that it's harder for me to write about my thoughts knowing no one will read them. i've discussed this with an online only friend of mine and she thinks it's a low self-esteem thing. so, i didn't stop posting because of LJ. it was my personal issues. but i digress, in a big way

i share your sentiments about lj. it served a role that the new social media sites have not been able to recreate. they lack substance. or promote lack of it.

i check facebook daily because i'm curious about what people i know are up to, but i miss the, i guess intimacy, that lj fostered. i don't feel like i know my friends now the same way that i did when many of them were consistantly journaling.
