There's something I've wanted to ask you since you mentioned you were reading tarot, but I don't want it to come out the wrong way. Please don't be offended. Where did you get your cards

Like my spiritual traditions what's "supposed" to happen is up to interpretation and belief. I know a lot of people only use cards that come from other people, but I don't necessarily think that has to be the case. I guess it depends on whether you believe the cards are imbued with spiritual power, or if they are merely a symbolic conduit. I bought my own cards, The Herbal Tarot, from a small shop downtown here in Madison. They had a lot of different decks and I just browsed until I found one which had images that particularly called to me. While I know that I'd appreciate a deck gifted to me (and trust me I have several that I want!), I don't think that my cards aren't going to work because I bought them for myself.

That said, I've had you read with Jen's cards before, it would be interesting to have you read from your own deck sometime. As long as you don't draw the phoenix out so much that I burst into fire.
