I don't really know anything about Greek life,
since I'm not in college, but, from what I've
heard, it really all depends. Some frats/
sororities have specific mission statements,
as it seems yours does, and are committed to
avoiding the beer-guzzling stereotype. Those
are good news for you. Test the waters!

As for the quality of the friendships in
sororities, I think you are upbeat and
outgoing enough to befriend anyone in
any sorority, as long as you find good people.
Besides, it's good to have a safety net in any
city school, especially after the freshman year.

It's good to know that you're enjoying yourself,
at any rate. With your schedule, it's a wonder you
have time to consider joining a sorority, even if
it is academically focused. :D Good luck!

I totally think you should join! Sororities are a cool thing. Definitely go for it.

It's like joining a faction in an RPG; too much of a commitment to be of real use, but you get a few extra quests which are fun to do. I don't think it's a good idea. But it's your choice.
