Day one: When Christmas comes to town [Warning: may contain yaoi]
White flakes fell from the sky around the spiky blond haired sixteen year old. An icy breeze had lightly nipped his nose, sending a few chills through his body. The boy’s heavy white winter jacket and black snow pants kept him warm. Black boots kicked the freshly fallen snow as he waited for his best friend.
A spiky red haired man, tall and aged around eighteen, finally came running to meet his best friend. The man was wearing a heavy black winter jacket with white trimmed fur lined around his hood. Black snow pants and black winter boots covered the rest of his body.
“Why are you always late, Axel?” The boy replied to his best friend. “Every time we end up doing something together… you always run five minutes late.”
“That’s… not true. You make it sound like I’m always late.” He frowned as he poked his best friend’s chest. “Roxas, you just worry too much about time.”
“I do not.” He scowled at Axel. “I wanted to tell you something that I just learned. Kairi was telling me about yesterday and I want to share it with you.”
“Really? What is it?” Axel sat down on the bench and looked up at his best friend. “I’m all ears.”
“Okay… well, there is this thing called Christmas. Kairi said its totally beautiful and magical but it only comes once a year. We celebrate it because it’s when our savior was born.” He explained. “There is this man named Santa Claus that comes on the night of Christmas Eve and gives presents to children all around the world. The next morning, you have presents from him underneath your tree.”
“Wow… that sounds… interesting.” Axel shrugged. “Is there anything else she told you?”
“Um, yeah. Everyone has a Christmas tree in their house. They decorate it with all kinds of ornaments… some of them have angels on top and others have stars.” He told his best friend. “Then you have christmas presents of things you always wanted wrapped in pretty holiday themed paper and matching ribbons.”
“Yeah, I’ve heard about Christmas too. It sounds like a lot of fun from how you’re describing it.” He smiled. “Maybe we should get a christmas tree.”
“We should because we can both decorate it with all sorts of ornaments!” Roxas was like a child on their birthday. “Oh! Kairi also said you hang stockings by the fireplace and fill them with smaller presents.”
“Yeah, we can get stockings too.” Axel grinned at his best friend. “I just have one little problem… how are we going to lug a huge christmas tree and ornaments home?”
“It shouldn’t be that hard, should it?” Roxas started to frown. “Hm… I never thought of that though.”
“That’s usually half your problem, Roxas.” He started to snicker. “You don’t think. You just jump to all these random conclusions.”
“Man… some friend you are.” He scowled at Axel. “Why do you always pick on my like that?”
“Because you’re so easy to tease, silly.” Axel placed his hand on Roxas’s head. “That’s just what good friends do.”
“Oh… I knew that.” He replied.
“Yeah, I’m sure you did, buddy.” He grinned as he leaned over to meet Roxas’s usual short stature. “We could get Kairi, Riku and Sora to help us.”
“That would defeat the purpose of you and I decorating our apartments.” He whined at his best friend. “You’re a man. You have the muscles to carry a tree up to my place.”
“What about me? Don’t I get a tree too?” He scowled. “I want to have a tree in my apartment too.”
“I don’t know why you need one. You’re always over at my apartment and act like you actually live there.” He told Axel.
“Okay, fine. We’ll get one for your apartment.” He placed his arms behind his head and stretched. “We should so do a sleepover tonight! What do you think?”
“Yeah, I guess.” Roxas replied. “But do you have to sleep in my bed?” He glared at his best friend.
“Why not? It beats sleeping on the cold hard floor.” Axel frowned. “You wouldn’t want your best friend to be totally uncomfortable, do you?”
“No.” He sighed in disappointment. “I just don’t know why you can’t sleep on the couch like a normal best friend would.”
“Because!” He started to blush a little. “I want to be in the same bed as you all night long.” He didn’t meet Roxas’s confused glare.
“But it’s always so weird having another guy sleep in the same bed as me.” He frowned at Axel. “Is that even normal?”
“I think it’s normal.” He shrugged. “Roxas… how about less talking and actual walking around? You don’t even look like you’ve got a sense of direction.”
“I… do too.” He realized they had passed a ton of good stores. “We have to find an artificial tree.”
“You know, I do think we should get Kairi and Riku to help. We don’t even know how to put up the tree.” Axel frowned as they finally went inside a store.
Roxas wasn’t listening to his best friend as usual. Axel sighed and poked around the ornaments section. Roxas dragged Axel towards the Christmas trees and pointed to a medium-small sized tree.
“You want that one?” Axel looked at the tree and could probably carry it with no problem. “Alright but first, let’s pick out Christmas ornaments, okay?”
“I do think we should get Riku and Kairi to help us put up the tree.” Roxas finally agreed to Axel’s request. “We could probably do all the ornaments and tree decorations.”
“Well yeah… I want to do that with just you and not anyone else.” He blushed a little as he thought of spending his Christmas with Roxas. “I’ll call them first and see if they can come here.”
“Okay.”
Axel flipped open his black and red cellphone. Kairi was the first one he called to come to the store. Axel let it ring a few times before hearing her answer.
“Hey Axel, what’s up?” She had answered.
“Yeah, I was wondering if you and Riku could help us put up our christmas tree at Roxas’s apartment.” He told her while looking at different ornaments.
“Where are you guys at?” She asked.
“Um… where at a place called… the christmas store?” He read the title on the window.
“Okay, I know where that is. Riku and I will meet you there.” She told Axel.
“Are you going to drive here?” Axel had to ask her. “It would be easier if you had a car with room for the tree.”
“Of course we are. Riku has a truck his dad used to own.” She told them. “I have to go so I’ll meet you there, okay?”
“Alright.” He smiled as he hung up. “Okay, Kairi and Riku are going to come with a truck to put the tree in.”
“Oh. Well, that saves us time from carrying it all the way home.” Roxas was picking random ornaments for the tree.
“Well yeah… that’s the whole idea, silly.” Axel ruffled Roxas’s hair and grinned. “I told you it would all work out.”
Kairi and Riku met them at the shop and helped them with the tree. Axel had no idea what to get for decorations.
“Why don’t you let a woman help you?” Kairi picked up some green and red garland. “I think you should start with this first.”
“What about all of these other ornaments?” Axel pointed to the different themed ornaments. “I should get some of them too, right?”
Kairi and Axel picked out Christmas ornaments for the tree. Roxas sat in the back of the truck with Axel while Riku drove.
Riku and Kairi left them to decorate the tree after putting it up. Axel wrapped the garland around the tree. Roxas put on the different Christmas ornaments.
“I think that’s all set now.” He replied. “We still have a while day ahead of us… is there anything else you want to do, Roxas?”
“I don’t know.” He shrugged. “What do you want to do?” Roxas looked up at his best friend.
“Hm… we could cuddle.” Axel smiled as his cheeks turned red. “We haven’t done that in a long time.”
“We can save that for when we go to sleep.” Roxas’s cheeks turned red too. “There’s has to be something else we can do.”
“We could rent some Christmas movies. That could give s a good reason to cuddle.” He replied as he poked Roxas’s cheek.
“I don’t recall best friends ever cuddling before.” He told Axel. “You do realize that, right?”
“That’s not true. I see it all the time. It’s totally normal.” He frowned. “It’s not my fault you’re so easy to cuddle.”
“Yeah sure… but we can rent some movies at the video store too.” He blushed a little bit.
“Yay!” Axel threw his arms around Roxas’s neck. “We should find some movies about Christmas.”
Roxas and Axel walked to the video store to pick some movies. Axel chose most of them and finally went home. Roxas placed his head on Axel’s chest while feeling his arms wrap warmly around his small body.
“This feels kind of nice.” Axel smiled as his cheeks turned red. “I keep telling you we should do this more often.”
Roxas could hear the soft beating of Axel’s heart. The sound was soothing and made him fall sound asleep.

I don't think this one turned out as well as I planned. >_< I'm hoping that when I write the second chapter tomorrow, it might actually be better. I don't think I'm doing anything tomorrow so I should be able to work on it.
Also... so that you guys know its a fanfiction, I'll use my icon with Larxene, telling Axel to stop reading AkuRoku fanfictions. :3
