Voting fraud?

Editing to add:  I DID get a hold of my election board, and when I explained my worries, she said the problems I was worried about were not ones that usually happened in Oklahoma.  She said it didn't matter that I had marked both of them (the straight ticket and the individual entries), my individual entries were the important ones, and would ( Read more... )

aw, shit! i have no idea at all if that's going to be a problem for you. i've always voted here in Kansas (forgot my absentee ballot when i was "vacationing" in Texas) and never voted straight party. i really, really hope it's not an issue since you faxed it and therefore an actual human will look at it and enter the data into the poll counter, but on the other hand...

things have gotten really buggered up this election season, with the way SO MANY states went out of their way to make things as hard as possible for people. :/

I know, it's crazy this election. I hate it when people say it's in god's hands, no it's fucking not, it's in OUR hands. I've edited my post to say what's happened, but everything appears okay here. I hope it goes smoothly for Kansas! Thank you again for the support!

yes, it is absolutely in our hands! if we believe the line that it's "in god's hands" then we allow whoever the special interests or corporations want into office and that will be a disaster of EPIC proportions.

voting here in beautiful Ottawa (sarcasm) went perfectly fine. no line at the poll, no problems finding me on the registry, no confusion over my ID (it's a bit old) and no ballot shenanigans. i'm glad it went so smoothly, because i was actually pretty worried with how the new voter ID law was going to affect things.

Oh no :( I don't have an answer for you unfortunately, but I really hope your vote is counted. Is incredibly bizarre, borderline suspect, that there were no instructions whatsoever on the ballot :/

Hi there! It was kind of weird that there were no instructions, but after everything I searched out, I think it was North Carolina's ballot that had problems with that, and lost like nearly 100K votes because of that... glitch, or whatever they'd call it. Apparently the ballot for them is still the same, though. Thank you for commenting though, I hope voting goes smoothly there for you!

I have no useful information, but let me share a general "ARGH" at the whole voting shenanigans thing, and hugs.

thank you sweetie! I'm so rarely on LJ these days, I really should come back... Thank you for the hugs, and I've updated the post, I appear to be fine ballot-wise! HUGS to you, my dear!
