James Franco is on Martin Scorsese's short list for his upcoming Frank Sinatra biopic. Yes, as the main character. Yes, that is pretty bad casting (although considering that other people on the short list include Justin Timberlake (???), Johnny Depp (love him and he looks good in a fedora, but he's already morphed J.M. WTF? HOW? WHY?

He seems to be pulling off the Sinatra look in those pics but I think there's probably a better choice out there because it takes more than just kinda looking like someone in a few staged photos, right?

His first claim to fame was winning a golden globe for a James Dean biopic (for TV).
And Allen Ginsberg, now, ahaha. To be fair, photos from the set are slightly better than I expected, but that's not saying much...

But I draw the line at Frank Sinatra. The resemblance is really not that strong and JF can't carry a tune to save his life, judging by the Oscars segment. I think he should get out of the imitating dead people rut. If he's going to be in a rut, I vote the slovenly-potaddled-gayish rut for him xD
