[ EHHH / more mindless rambling / PG13 / WWII ]

This was a response to a maladjusted reviewer, who argued against my, uh, choice in pairing Japan with China.  It was an intelligent discussion thought, and most certainly not a flame/pairing war.  I was just refuting her (or his?) points in this really, really, really long review response.

This could be some form of sequel (although it is actually ( Read more... )

Did I ever say I was unimpressed? Because I don't think I can ever be. This piece was the perfect mix of logic and passion, and some bit of inspirational as well. I think what I like about it the most is the wayward point-by-point rebuttal, where you solidly establish a couple main points in order to continue.

I'm really glad that coherent discussion like this is able to take place in the huge expanse of spam on the internet--could I ask who was the person that reviewed you in the first place to elicit such an awe-striking response?

*is still... wow!*

I don't know, I feel simultaneously inspired to write something like this (on a different topic) and also just to START WRITING FANFICTION AGAIN, as crazy as both of those sound.

*sighs*

But, wow, I really like this reviw? response? reply? It's just win and awesome, and I would be amazed at the unconversion rate after the sequel/prelude/prequel thing. ^^~

But the point that you make here is similar to another one of my reasons for supporting JapanxChina at all (especially since I'm not really into senselessly pairing people *coughcoughcough*), which is the idea of forgiveness. Like, it's great to hold onto traditions and whatnot, but when that goes to the point of bringing two countries into active hostility, I think that macro/microcosms would play a really lovely role in helping everything and everyone sort things out.

...Ah, what I'm really trying to say is that in making such a pairing feasible and possible, it lays the groundwork for something better, after all (and I totally agree with Thoreau on this), change on a large scale must start in the honest individual. So yeah, just, giving my opinion here, I guess...? ^^;;

Awww... that's a really optimistic take of the microcosm world (my latest favorite word, if you couldn't quite tell~). I really agree with your viewpoint, because it gives people something to look forward to--something I always wanted to embody! XD

Thank you for sharing? *brick'd*

Well, the opinion doesn't seem terribly optimistic, what with Sino-Japanese relations as of late. If anything, the two countries are going to be forced to co-operate sooner or later or some huge project or another (*cough* the Asian Olympics?).

This was a really good rebuttal because it wasn't chock-full of either fact or emotion, and you really blended the two elements together. But more than technical admirability, this really stands out in my mind because of the sincerity that I felt you had in this article ( ... )

*laughs* I totally agree with the fangirling comment. Some of them... *shudders*... some of the fangirls really scare me--although I think that I'm just not remembering things correctly (like did she just go up two octaves in five seconds???) and hyperbolizing the rest (like did they just wait 72 hours to see three guys walk by for three seconds???).

A platonic JapanxChina relationship...
Although my inner fangirl outrightedly rebels at this idea, I actually find myself liking it, if only because it makes another statement of how you don't always have to go with the flow and become romantically involved or related--ever.

And another person writing discussion--yes please...! ^^

I'm... sincerely disturbed at your examples of fangirling, particularly because you don't seem to suffer from memory loss of over-exaggeration at all.

*laughs* Yes!!! for the platonic love? 8)

Mmm... I really dislike writing in general--I'm more into math and codes and programs and pixeling and hell, even drawing more than writing...

Platonic love discussion?

Aww...

First definition:
romantic love, only without the sex.

THAT is such a guy's definition--I always thought of it to be like absolute soulmates, where you transcend the earthly barriers and want to do things other than fuck.

Which, by the way, is just a more 'romantic' version of my definition.

PS: Plato = one seriously screwed-up guy.

WOAH; so long and good, I definitely agree with every word of this, and you really know how to properly articulate your points, even though there are errors here and there.

Good job! :D

Thank YOU for telling me that I articulate well at all, I'm always so worried about that, particularly since I'm just not that good with English... and it's not even my second language~!

*sighs*
