A Distorted Reality is Now a Necessity to be FreeMr. Hsu has been pestering me for this entry; it was due on his desk hours ago. But fun and relaxation called, and I didn't get around to it until now. Hopefully I'll be able to keep my job. The fact that he loaned me his car and I can't remember where I parked it certainly doesn't help my chances ( Read more... )

Just for shits I copied and pasted this into word, it turned out to be 13 pages. I managed to make it through the whole thing though, and I was pretty proud. Also, this summer you've got to help me learn to play tennis, I think I'm going to play next year but I'm like the worst tennis player ever.

lucky number 13. thanks for reading. as for the tennis, i'll be in chicago for most of the summer, but we should definitely go out sometime. besides, your dad is better than me, and he's always looking for partners.

Hahahahaha, ok so honestly, it took me a long time to get that picture of you holding up the leaning tower. At first (and for a while) I thought you were discoing in the street. The former is funny, hahaha, but c'mon, Disco Jared...

Also, Im pissed I get to miss Ted Leo.

And I know its certainly not true you want to talk to everyone in persone Jared.

Also, the middle one is the cutest.

what do you mean? i was just discoing in the street. is there something else going on there?

yeah, you should be pissed. although i'm mildly confused by being "pissed" about "getting" to miss it. someone seems conflicted.

and i have to respectfully disagree. the one on the right is the cutest. i've always been partial to blue.

or, if we take it in a different direction, we could use "crumblin' down by john cougar.

cover song requests missericalynn May 31 2004, 08:52:05 UTC
1) oasis wonderwall. michelle requested it like 45 times at the jr. high dance party. sure-fire crowd pleaser
2) guster x-ray eyes.
3) britney spears lucky. i think it could have a really good tamborine part. when lynn and i were going to start performing on the streets of barcelona (me as lead vocalist, her as lead tamborine), this song was going to be our main attraction. that and lynn in a gold bikini.

1) ah, wonderwall. a classic. seeing as how it's one of about 6 songs that i actually know how to play on the guitar, i'm sure it'll find its way into our set. also, i heard about your party, excellent theme. how did it go? i hope you played both on bended knee and water runs dry, two of the greatest slow songs of our generation.
2) wouldn't we need, like, a bongo player or something to play a guster song? anyways, for you, my dear, i'll look into it.
3) robert and johanna are planning a cover of toxic. lucky's not a bad idea, though. also, after reading this, i've decided to have robert fitted for a gold bikini.

heh. i cant believe i read all that.
does your friend anna speak italian?
if so, tell her to read a poem called 'i limoni' by eugenio montale. actually his two collections ossi di seppia and le occasioni are both wonderful.

lets hang out thursday, ronnie scotts or not.
i am in dire need of escaping these four walls :/

anna speaks, shall we say, passable italian. she does well in restaurants and grocery stores. poetry, however, might be a bit beyond her reach. i'll clue her in, though, it'd be good practice.

my friend mike is calling tomorrow to make reservations at ronnie scott's for thursday, so hopefully that'll work out. if not, i'm still up for doing whatever. i'll let you know how it works out.

1) the jr. high dance party went well. MASH, origamis, slow dancing, and 'truth or dare' were guests of honor. 'always be my baby' was the slow song of choice.
2) if robert is the oh so talented multi-instrumentalist, couldn't he learn to play the bongos? i mean, HONESTLY.
3) additional request: pour some sugar on me

well, i don't think i could ever have a jr. high dance party without some boyz ii men, but i'll let it slide since 'always be my baby' is by far the best mariah carey song of all time, and by merely mentioning mash you brought back good memories for me. well done.
