I feel really bad for Dan Rather. I saw a poll today where 40% of people ranked his coverage of the news poor. One mistake and the man is abandoned. I remember watching him immediately after Sept. 11th, refusing to leave the news desk. He seemed to be really affected by it, more than Jennings or Brokaw; I kept having flashes of Walter Cronkite
