Nobody can say Jared Needle isn't modest.

Actually, I wrote that report from an almost purely objective point of view--I exaggerated nothing. My saying that the championship questions were so easy I could do them in my head was not bragging about how good I was, but rather explaining how easy the questions were. Like this one "Give the common name for the disease that strikes coal miners...turning their lungs black." (Black lung). And a math one, "what is the height of a right circular cylinder with volume 150π and radius 5?" (6). It would have been nice to see the final rounds played with questions as hard as last year's, where one of the easiest was, "What is the shape generated by revolving a circle about a line?" (Torus or toroid). And with North Hollywood A not being so flagrantly cheated.

Yeah, apart from last week, and Alan, we barely studied. But last week, Brian and I went into overdrive--I did over forty hours.

Good luck at Decathlon! There were so many Deca kids there...
