It's been some time since Jake was in the Nexus last. Things with the Omaticaya have been going relatively well, all things expected, and he's told them that he's bringing a Sky Person guest to stay for a short while. Fortunately, he's been proven to be a good judge of character, from the clan's point of view, so while they may not be entirely

Victor is there with bells on, except not literally, zero bells, not even a very little bell, not even half of a bell, she is wearing good, solid, heavy clothes, practical. Short sleeves, with a jacket in her backpack just in case, and cargo pants, the sort with about five-thousand pockets. She's a little self-conscious, she knows how she looks, how her skin looks, but she is going to try to be brave.

She has her walking-cane, unembellished, light-colored wood and polished to a sheen. And she waves hello with the biggest grin on her face.

Jake smiles and touches his forehead in greeting. "I See you, Victor. All packed and ready to go?" He holds out the face mask, a one-size-fits-all deal that will form to the contours of her face when she activates it.

She mimics him shyly, is this how you...? "I'm totally ready to go." She slips the mask over her face, and cool, and she zips the solid part of the pack into the big mesh outer pocket of her backpack.

"Sweet. We'll be starting off in the mountains, to give you fair warning." Jake has hardly any equipment on him, just his usual bow and arrows strapped to his back, and the bone-handled knife across his chest. But he's also wearing his flying goggles, a leather strap that rests across his forehead, decorated with animal teeth and beads, and two lenses made of clear insect wings of some sort.
