Oddness
My Firefox and Flock did auto updates in the last 2 days... now the Rich Text editor tab in Live Journal is gone for me. All I have left is the HTML tab.
Anyone else having this experience?
Firefox 2.16, Flock 1.2.6, on both XP and Vista. FF 3 has no issues, go figure. -
An Objectionable Animal
So. It's 6am. Moose woke me up this morning. Screaming.

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You tend to blend into the background occaisionally, but that's okay, because it's much easier to sneak up on people and disembowel them that way. -

Yummies
Ziplock Ice Cream (from Dana H.)
In a small ziplock bag I put 3/4 cup whole milk and a 1/4 cup heavy cream, several splashes of vanilla extra, a few shakes of cinnamon and 2 spoonfuls of sugar.
In a big ziplock bag I put a whole bunch of ice and about 3 spoonfuls of kosher salt. (Not sure if the type of salt matters or not).

Sam's Cheesecake
It's incredibly versatile, I don't think I've ever made exactly the same cheesecake twice.
Here's the basic recipe...
5 large rectangular graham crackers
1/2 stick soft butter
1 Tsp honey
1 Tsp flour
16 oz cream cheese
1/3 + 1/2 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 + 1 tsp vanilla
1 lemon's juice and grated rind
1 pint sour cream (16 oz)

3 Bean Salad
1 can small white beans
1 can black beans
1 can small red beans
1 can whole kernel corn
approx. 12 oz. hot salsa
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. cilantro, approx.
1/4 cup lime juice (approx.)
splash of olive oil
cayenne pepper to taste
Optional extra ingredients: diced green pepper, diced red pepper, diced yellow pepper, diced onion
