Word! I definitely agree. I sort of get where some of the wank comes from but this kind of thing remains a mystery to me. I just don't get why anyone would waste their time on hating someone, and hating a character is just stupid anyway imo. It's fine to say they did wrong or say their motives are weak, but it's needless to hate someone that doesn't even actually exist.
Yes, I agree. It's just a TV show and the characters are not real. And, what I find even worse than bashing the characters, is hating on the actors - either based on the character they play, or just because you happen to like one character over the other or for no reason at all - who really do exist. Or bashing the fans who like and support them.
It's perfectly natural to find one character more attractive or appealing based on your personal taste, or whatever the reason, but I don't understand the need to bash the other or why people need to broadcast their preference constantly or right to Jared or Jensen's face.

Well, you're a very big part of the reason I made this post. There is absolutely no reason for people to treat you the way they do. And then I read amongst your responses something about the way people were reacting to, I think a review of SPN (I didn't check) , and how they were bashing Jared, in particular, and I just had to vent...mean people are just mean, lol. That's all I can come up with.
Well, mostly from what I've read from ckll's journal and the way she's been treated by "fans" and the way Jared, in particular, or at least this time, was treated by "fans". I didn't even bother checking the link where the rude exchanges took place because it makes me so mad when I read things ignorant people post about innocent people.

Oh, I see. Why would anyone be hating on Jared? o_O I mean I've read some nasty comments regarding his acting and how Jensen is so much better and now with Misha in the picture Jensen can finally up his game, or something to that effect and other nasty things. But why? To make Jensen look better or to just be nasty? I don't get it! o_o

Probably just to be nasty. I have no idea why they say such things...Jared's a great actor. He deserves an award for the "when the levee breaks" episode. I just don't understand why it's such a big deal to say both Jared and Jensen are great actors OR if you don't believe that, just state your opinion about the one you like, without bashing the other one.
But I'm probably only contributing to the problem...making a mountain out of a molehill. Fandoms can get pretty brutal, sometimes to the point of violence, but that's mostly in sports...I haven't heard of any violent outbursts at cons anyway, lol. But yeah, I think ignoring it is the best way, but it's too late now ;)

I'm tired of hate. apparently most of the fans enjoy making others miserable and they feel happy about hating others. that is wrong and they should get a grip and realize that it's just a tv show.also.ppl should be able to see things for themselves,see the love that is between these two men and be happy for them. not hating and hurting other fans. it's pointless.
I totally agree. It's probably best not to do as I just did by bringing even more attention to the matter but instead ignore them. Well I didn't post it in Dean_Sam so hopefully not too many will see this ;)
