I think Dean's the mirror image of Sam in some ways. He's working it from the opposite end of the spectrum.
I like that and i agree with you.
I'm sure dean didn't want Sammy to leave but he knew he had no other choice

Yeah, you could tell he didn't want him to leave, but he did what was best for everybody...not an easy thing to do. Not easy for Sam either...taking responsibility, and admitting he wasn't strong enough took a lot of courage.

I liked that episode a lot....
And Dean still cares deeply about Sam, even if he let him go.
And your picspam is lovely;)

Thanks! Yes, it was very obvious he still cares. Their chemistry and acting allow us to see how they really feel...no words necessary.

WONDERFUL picspam!

As you say, these two need to let each other go in order to do the growing up they need to do. A more mature Dean would have let Sam go when he died. He wouldn't have gone to a demon to resurrect him because he couldn't live with Sam dead. Of course, we don't want SUPERNATURAL without Sam, but you get my meaning. Notice in GGY, Dean didn't go running out to save Sam; he knew he NEEDED A PLAN FIRST! Everything worked out well and no one died as a result.

Sam realized he has a problem, step one toward helping himself through his addiction. Leaving Dean, who can't help him right now with that addiction, was a wise move, even if it is killing us fangirls.

I know that Sam and Dean will re-partner one of these days, stronger, more capable, their brotherly bond better than ever!

I totally agree with you. Dean sacrificed his soul to bring Sam back...love doesn't get any more powerful than that but although it's love, it's like you said, immature love, because it does more harm than good. But like Dean, most viewers, including myself, couldn't be happier that Sam came back. Unfortunately, what makes us happy isn't always right...in fact, it seems it never is, lol.

Yeah I think it goes against our natural inclination...that to love someone can sometimes mean letting go, but in certain situations, that's exactly what it means. Even though, most of the time, it's not so clear.
