So we went to the Oyster Fest yesterday. We had a pretty good time. We grabbed some lunch and walked around to look at the arts and crafts. Ray bought a few Christmas gifts for his father and stepmother. He wanted to give them to them right away, but I convinced him to hold onto them until Christmas...less money we have to spend then.
Afterwards we came home to cool off and relax. Then we dropped Arlyn off at MILs and we went grocery shopping. MIL brought Arlyn home and we went out to dinner (Ray and I...MIL stayed here to watch Arlyn). We went to a great local seafood place that we haven't been to in years. I had shrimp parm...it was SO yummy! That's all I ate there when I was a kid. Ray had this dish with shrimp, portobello mushrooms, tons of garlic and tomatoes over linguini. Delicious! We have plenty of food for two more meals left, too. Huge portions! Then we came home and he watched the Giants and I went to the bedroom to play some escape the room games...fun!
We went to bed, but when I woke up at 3:30, Ray wasn't in bed. I freaked out! I didn't hear him in the bathroom, but there were noises coming from Arlyn's room. I got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't find him (of course it would've helped if I had my glasses on) anywhere. This place isn't that big, so I went back and put my glasses on. Not in Arlyn's room...he hadn't fallen onto the floor in our room, wasn't in the bathroom...he was sleeping on the couch and I woke him up to make sure he was okay. I guess he didn't sleep much last night. Oh well...
Yesterday when Ray was putting Arlyn's sandals on, she started yelling that it hurt. So he took her sandal off and her toenail was coming off. We put a bandaid on and all was well. We called the doctor today just to make sure that it was okay, but they don't even want to see her. While Ray was calling them, I tried to take a shower. The water wouldn't turn on. So the super had to come fix that problem, which he did temporarily.
I guess that's all that's going on. Now I can go take a shower. I didn't eat breakfast this morning because I'm still feeling full from that delicious dinner last night. Not much on tap for today...actually, I'm not sure if we're doing anything today. We'll see...Have a great day!
