Confused because... well, frankly, he hadn't been admitting to himself that he'd been attracted to Mrs. Strange until he abruptly found himself no longer so. And though the loss of ( Read more... )

If Richard wants to talk to someone who is, perhaps, almost as confused about their gender as he is, have Ganymede, who will stroll past looking as cheerful as he ever does.

Richard almost doesn't notice him, but at the last minute looks up with almost a start. "Oh! Ganymede. How are you keeping, sir? Forgive me, I almost missed you."

"Nay, sir, 'tis not your business to mind me! I fare fairly, sir. Methinks you do not the same?"

"Just a bit preoccupied. And it is, I hope, always my business to greet my friends." He smiles. "What have you been occupying yourself with, good sir?"

And here's the one who started this whole mess. Tom is doing something vaguely important like trying to decide if a stone is worth the trouble of putting in his pocket and forgetting about or not and he doesn't seem to notice Richhard at all.

And the notifications are screwy once more. "Oh." He smiles a bit, through his preoccupation, because caring about Tom is one of the few things that makes sense to Richard at the moment. "Hello, Tom. What are you doing?"

Kyllikki is sitting on the grass as Richard walks by, contemplating the petals of a rose--her hair is loose today, and it hangs golden about her shoulders. She was the second most beautiful girl in all of Suomi, and even now, she is shockingly lovely; shockingly shy, and she startles when Richard walks by, standing to give him a sheepish little bow. "I had not seen you," she says softly. "Good day."

"Oh. Madam! Forgive me, I did not see you." He gives her a bow in return, perhaps a bit more sheepish. "Please do not let me disturb you. That is... good day to you as well."

"You have not disturbed me," she murmurs--and then, still a little flushed with embarrassment, she says, "These are beautiful roses."

"Yes, yes they are. Quite," he says, a little too rushed in his embarrassment. After a short pause, he offers, "I don't believe we've met before. I'm Richard Carstone."

*well, then, here is an Eros as requested--! Because, for some reason, he tends to enjoy lurking around lovelorn people* --Hey, pretty! What's up?

Richard blinks, looking up. "Ah, sir. Good day. I don't believe I've had the pleasure."
