"Good day, Mrs. Strange." He is very shaken, but not so shaken as to be rude. "How are you, this day?"

Of course she feels the usual measure of friendly affection for Richard, as any friend feels, but we'll assume it's not enough of the right sort of love for her to notice much, if any, difference in that way. "Very well, thank you. And how are you? You will forgive my suggesting you do not look quite well."

And here's Tom to test it out on. He's looking for the gentleman (because what he said really doesn't sound good in retrospect) and also partly looking for some more to drink and is not expceting to run into Richard in the slightest.

He'd rather not, perhaps, but he will, as he needs to realize a bit more about the enchantment. He notices her, and quickly puts the unopened bottle he'd found away. "Ada...what a pleasant surprise."

"Richard!" There's a flash of a strange expression on her face, but she's smiling again in an instant.

He notices, though, and falters. "Are you... is everything alright?"
