NFLog: Week 9 Picks

Nov 07, 2010 10:15

I finally went over .500 on my picks last week, but not by much. However both my fantasy teams lost. My Keeper league lost a heartbreaker as my opponent scored something I would usually beat. Instead Rodgers only put up 6 points instead of his 20+. All I needed was 20pts from him to win the game. Here is hoping for a better result this week. I'm ( Read more... )

I see. Time to mull over the ruffians scrambling around after a pig's bladder, but no time to recount the acts of heroism and derring-do performed by me and ... well, me mostly, but I guess you others were there too.

I'll see if I can find you your own bloated bag of offal to kick around next time I have the pleasure of gutting something as I lead us to glory. It might keep you more interested than, oh, I don't know, SAVING THE WORLD.

Yes, there's that bad ear of mine again. Must get that seen to.

Good picks so far this week. Although I would have picked the Ravens over the Dolphins at the outset (Ravens are awesome on D IMO). Crazy the Pats losing to the Browns!

I was tempted to take the Ravens but then I remembered what happen with Buffalo. And there D is nothing like what it has been in the past few years. That said they are probably one of the more balanced teams in the league along with Pittsburgh.

Or you might win the South, which is more likely IMO. This scenario is interesting, but does he really think the Falcons can beat the Packers. Not a chance. I would say that the Giants, Falcons, Eagles, Packers and Saints are probably the best teams in the NFC, with the Bucs not too far behind and the Bears likely to be around at the end. Of course there are only 5 spots for good teams because someone from the NFC West has to make it.

My NFC rankings would be
Giants
Packers
Eagles
Saints
Falcons
Bucs
Bears

Though I think the Packers have a better shot at the number 1 seed than the Giants.

Yeah, TBH I hope the Rams make it out of the NFC West, just so their rookie QB gets some play-off experience. At this stage it's a bit of a crap shhot between them and the Seahawks (both 4-4), but the Cards are still in the picture (3-5), and the 49ers have managed to win 2 of their last 3 games (2-6), so might not be totally out of it! Next weeks Rams/49ers game will shed some more light on it.
