It has been an eventful few days since we vanquished the first sliver of Karivakos. A foul bewitching demon that hid behind his minions, only be sheathed in Thrullzon's darkness and cast into oblivion by my axe and Enna's blade

I'm looking forward to getting back to Akmenos, but I'm also very much enjoying the fractious character-driven play that I've had to adopt to be Thrullzon.
New information on his character has given me a new perspective, but I also hope that the final battle will include a skill challenge or something that sees Thrullzon driven out and Akmenos returned. He's been fun, but there is a certain narrative arc here which must end with Karavakos' defeat, or it will just drag on pointlessly.
And if you're giving out the Rotten Dice Award, surely it must go to Lance. When I used Lightning's Revelation on Vondal and Karavakos, nailing you with a -4 to all defences, Lance managed to make 3 attacks against you before you could strike back. Of those 3 attacks, he rolled a 1, a 2, and a 3. Hah!
It was interesting making a level 10 when I hadn't played 4ed before at all...
I went with a more combat orientated build to fit the character concept I had, but I am not sure that was the optimal build for him. it is certainly a different beast from earlier editions of D&D.
If I was building him again I would probably look for a more defensive build, with more abilities to remove controls, or a different class that would give that.
Either that or my halfling Wizard I was originally thinking of :-)
