Vondal's Vandals: The cult of the Great One

Mar 23, 2011 16:35

Thrullzon vexes me more and more with each passing day. He seems to have no understanding of morality or even civility. I can only say that I am glad I didn't live in his time, and that I hope he will never truly get to live in ours ( Read more... )

There certainly a few 20's roled, and wasted in that last session... Also a lot of 1's and 2's....

I am not sure that I have Harkill configured properly for what I want him to do... I think I might have to look in to feats/powers that remove more conditions...

I'm sure Lance won't mind you playing around with him a bit. Jumping in with a level 10 build is always hard.

I think you need to not worry about high damage effects. Enna is our damage dealer and Vondal backs her up. Vondal is good at locking down a bunch of enemies, while Harkill will be better against one, but with the two of us we should in theory be able to keep most of the enemies off Enna and Snowfoot
(and Akmenos when he comes back).

There isn't much more that removes conditions but some suggestions for powers and feats I don't think you have are;
Utility Powers
Snap out of it is a skill power that allows you touch an ally and let them make a saving throw against dazed, stun or dominating effect. (So that is condition removal. Another skill power is Noble Sacrifice which allows you to take an attack targeting an ally within 3. If the attack hits you the ally also gains temp hp. Given that you are a tank it could be worthwhile. Both are encounter powers and either could be useful. You get them by taking the Skill Power ( ... )

Dailies
Level 1, Radiant Delirium I think you have. Dazes target. Use it against bosses or damage dealing enemies.
Level 5, Hallowed Circle creates a zone which gives allies in it +1 to all defenses for the rest of the encounter. This is pretty useful. Haven't looked through all the level 5 dailies though.
Level 9, Shackles of Justice deals additional damage to the enemy everytime they deal damage. Save ends, but imagine that on the Abomination with him getting a ton of attacks but only 1 save a turn. Not sure this is the best level 9 daily but it kind of suits Harkill.

Feats
This is where it gets tricky. There are just so many damn feats that finding good combos is hard. Apart from Dragonborn Frenzy, which is a given, I'm not sure what you have. I know you have a dragon breath enhancement. I don't think I would bother that. Dragon breath is useful against minions in that you can take down a whole lot of them quickly, but you don't really need an enhancement for it. The Skill Power I mentioned earlier could be much more useful. It ( ... )
