The very idea that a politician or any group of politicians could do anything meaningful to 'defeat' a virus is so imbecilic on its face that it utterly defies me how anyone could even conceive of such an ignorant notion. Maybe if ALL politicians just got the fuck out of the way of medical professionals and let THEM do the job they're trained to do, some gains might be possible. But if anybody imagines that ANY respiratory virus that crosses species boundaries can be eradicated by the actions of POLITICIANS, they are naive beyond any hope of redemption.

And half the time, he won't even let Fauci, or any of them talk. We would be in a much better place now if nearly two months weren't wasted (PPE, testing, etc.) He pretended there was no problem for the sake of the economy. Now, he wants everyone back to work at the worst possible time, for the sake of what's left of the economy he helped to destroy ( ... )
