If you are reading this, omg DO IT. Seriously. I could not be happier with John's budget spreadsheet, and it's improved my life so much since I started using it last July. It's amazing how much more in-control you feel over your financial situation when you know exactly how much you're spending and what you're spending it on. I've been able to cut down on a bunch of unnecessary things and save a ton of money, AND I've actually set financial goals for myself (and am well on my way to reaching them!) rather than just sort of floating along in the status quo like before. And it's so much easier to plan for things like big credit card bills; I'm no longer unpleasantly surprised when I open my mail, or log in to my checking account. A little knowledge and peace of mind goes a loooong way

Aww, thank you, Pips! *hugs* I didn't even mention in my post how you took it upon yourself to add all kinds of fancy equations because I didn't want to scare people ;-D Maybe in the future I'll teach the 101 course and you take the 400-level students?
I would muchly appreciate linkage anywhere, in any form. Thank you, darling!
Dude, this looks GREAT. I've just decided to enroll in a college program after working for a couple of years, and I'm very concerned about my fiances. I shall email you momentarily to get set up. Your mad spreadsheet skillz come highly recommended!

By the way, I had some thoughts on how to improve the "paid every two weeks" system - maybe come by and chat when you're no longer medicated? :-)
