I guess it's official. I am going to Eastern Illinois University! I mailed in my enrollment and housing deposits today. It's crazy to know that the decision is done. Made. Finito. I haven't even heard from U of I, but it doesn't even matter now! yay! It's such a weird feeling...like I'm so relieved to have the decision made, but nervous as ( Read more... )

Hi my name I Lauren and I read your post on the EIU board. First off let me say AWESOME SN! Jars of Clay and 3rd Day both Rock! I actually got to see 3rd Day in concert at U of I back in sept and it was awesome. But yea back to the point... I know it can be scarry starting at a new school expecially when you are leaving home but you'll do great. Finding people through LJ from EIU is a great way to start making friends even before you get here. My best friend that I had at EIU I started chatting with on line in March before we both Transfered that Aug and having someone to meet up with on that 2nd day was really great. I actually met up with a few people I had chatted with that first week and it helped with the transition.

OH WOW! Good for you, getting your life on track and everything - wow - so sweet.
Things are - as they always are - crazy. I was just thinking that there was a reason why you should come out and visit me - erm - probably to see a sweet little town called Carlisle - which is charming me all over again in it's quaint-ness. Anyway, just a thought.
Congrats again and I hope everything is going well!

I really would love to come out to Carlisle. I guess with your moving I really need to start checking into that more thoroughly! I have some crazy 5 day weekend in April, maybe I'll look into that! I love you! oh btw..your extremely late bday present is in the mail (you probably should have gotten it today)...sorry for the lateness!
