I'm not sure. Every communities I think once in a while have this so the members can meet other members who shares the same interests and get to know each other.
Like for example a friending meme got posted in Hetalia Comm obviously means you can meet other Hetalia fans out there and friend each other. I've seen them around but this is the only second time I've posted in one. The first time, I met others but I kinda gone absent in LJ so yeah. XD
