Avent Teats

Hi all mummies using Avent milk bottle, need yr help. Recently I bgt this avent teats with variable flow for Jeriel. But I dunno how to adjust or place the teat in the correct position in order to get the suitable flow....is there any markings on the milk bottle cap(beside those 3 markings on the teat)to guide us? Tried a few times, and either

i hv one but i never used it. its the way u tilt the bottle... u got to tilt the bottle wif the teat of cos, to adjust whh flow u wan.

I bgt 4 cos thot more cost saving as I dunno to spend extra $$ to buy the no. 3 teat but who knows......:(
U mean i tilt the bottle in such a way that the marking on the teat is facing me or jeriel when I feed him? *blur*

yes... tilt the bottle... and whh is the flow u wan, the marking shld face sky-up... u go home and try tilting the teat and then press it... u will see the teat holes diff size at the diff flows... :)

Sorry can't help cos I didn't buy the variable flow one. D is using all nos. 1 to 3 now ... usually for water she uses 1 or 2, and for milk if she's using the big bottle, she will use no. 3 teat.

is okie lah...think I really make a mistake from buying the variable one....:(
Anyway, jeriel is now using no.2 for feeding & I think maybe will need to change again in a few weeks times cos sometimes he get frustrated towards the end of sucking....dunno whether issit got to do with the flow of the milk?

heehee...this blur mummy here forgot to change the teat until jeriel started fussing then I realised my mistake. So just change to no.2 & the variable one two weeks ago.But he not used to the variable, will suck until bery chuan & keep letting the milk leak out when we used the variable one, maybe accidentally tilt to the fast flow one....:}
btw, no. 4 is for how many mths? I can't remember liao...me see see liao, will tend to forget easily...:P

You certainly DID NOT make a mistake buying the Variable flow teat.

It is the BEST teat to buy.....very durable and very useful!!

Let me teach you how to use it.... you have to align the marking to Baby Jer's nose. That will do! Eg. III marking is aligned to my nose and facing up.

I use the variable teat very often and mummy NEVER had to replace it so far because it is just so durable!

Then for water can change to I or II so flow is slower coz tend to choke on water. For milk i use III.

My Mummy's friend used to add cereal into her baby's milk and the variable flow teat is good for that too, coz hole is big, cereal can flow thru!!
