Tired, ignore if you like.

I feel sometimes like a soul on the edge of a canyon. Behind me, the issues of my life are screaming at me, begging me to keep tying the knots and fixing the things that I've fucked up. Before me, one way down, a bottomless crevace just beckoning me to take that step and fade into its darkness. Sometimes I'm so tempted to just let go and sever any ( Read more... )

Hey you,
I'm sorry that you're having a rough time. I'm sure it will eventually pay off in the end, you'll get your college degree and a good job and all of the pain will have been worth it. (At least, this is what I tell myself at 4 am during finals week when I haven't slept in 48 hours) -hugs-
On a lighter note, you are in the top 20 with me for a divine token :D I don't know what your plans are for your divine, but if you're interested, we could design a breeding pair together in order to ensure love babies :3 Don't be afraid to say no, Im certainly not offended.

Feel better,
Lor

You know, I would bet that many people here, are willing to pat your back, and say hang in there. And there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe I should just say "Keep your chin up!" and such. But if all we ever get is idle encouragement or folks bitching at us over one thing or another, what good is it? It might as well be copy-paste-canned responses. Maybe I just wanted to say something different? Who knows. Either way, I'm not guna say "Keep your chin up!" best you'll get outta me is a "Good luck." You're old enough and strong enough to not need everyone and their mother telling you to hang in there, that's what your own parents are for, right? ; ) So good luck, and feel free to phone me sometime if you need something, I don't have much else to do plenty of times. Well, that's a lie, sometimes I'm busy, but, regardless, feel free to call if you're bored. : P

Sometimes a degree doesn't help. I have one, and I've been ineffective in finding work. I haven't had a real job since December of last year. Of course, I have an art degree and a prepress degree (useless pieces of paper, as far as I'm concerned). This is all to say that the standard of perfection you are seeking may not be everything you expect.
I have experienced the same problems. Family constantly pestering you to get a job, being unable to find a job, wanting to give up on everything. It's not fun. I don't know if and when I'll get out of it, either.

I understand where you're coming from. With the exception of the diet thing, I've experienced pretty much the same situation. What makes my situation worse is having a degree that is useless, so that you are overqualified for ordinary jobs, and not any use in jobs that actually exist. Yeah. Real nice to have a degree, but the type matters. My art degree doesn't. Neither does my prepress certification.
