Well, in the intervening days since my last post classes still haven't started yet, but things have been busy nonetheless. I seem to have joined a Georgian music choir (that's Russia-Georgia, not "Georgia on my Mind" Georgia), which is run by a 2nd year musicology PhD named John, who's spent a good deal of time with Georgian music. I seem to have joined a Georgian music choir

I've been meaning to do that since I first heard that music, maybe 10 years ago. Hopefully it doesn't require moving to Princeton. Or, well, Georgia.

actually, this is damn near impossible to google - it just so happened that John the resident Georgianologist sent it to me on email a few hours before your last LJ comment. I tried finding a link i could paste in, instead of copying out the whole thing, but couldn't.

Pass it along, as i don't know how widely advertised this is going to be...
