Well, today I helped Amanda Palmer sell t-shirts. At one point she phoned Neil Gaiman and put him on speakerphone so we could all shout at him, and I almost fell ontop of her ukelele in excitement.
She randomly organised a get-together at 2:30 on Friday at the Freo Oval, and put the news out via twitter late Thursday. So it was her, about thirty fans who'd heard the news, and me. She'd brought along a box of tshirts, so I pitched in and gave a hand when everyone wanted to buy one. I'm not technically an Amanda Palmer fan, though I know it's just because I haven't heard her music yet, so that was why I went along. And yes! She's awesome! She sung songs! To ukelele accompaniment, and it didn't sound ridiculous! It was good fun, and very strange.
Nope, you weren't. I checked it up when I got home, and it's been officially announced on Amanda Palmer's... twitter, I think, Neil Gaiman's blog, and multiple news sources who were at the concert. So there you go. ^___^ I have spent some time going D'AAAAW over it all.
