“Two sets of lunch special. That's all. Thank you.” Yunho tells the waiter as he pulls out the notepad. “Your food will be ready shortly.” Says the waiter while taking the menu from the table. “Chun-ah, I got this upcoming drama on hand.” “What’s it about?” Yoochun look up from his sip of iced water. “It’s about the love story of a chef, a general manager and a long lost childhood crush. The chef and the general manager are best friends. The chef crush on the best friend for quite some time already, he plan out when will he confess and all the necessary stuff. Who knows out of nowhere his long lost childhood crush reappear in his life again messing up the plan that he has.” Yunho narrated. “That looks challenging. So what’s your role?” Ask Yoochun as he drinks more water. “I’m the chef.” “WHAT?!” Yoochun nearly spits out the water in his mouth. ”You? As a chef? Holy Jesus! I shall pray for whoever that’s gonna eat your cooking.” and Yoochun started praying. “Yah! Stop that will you? It’s not like I cook that bad...” “Right… you nearly set the whole house on fire and everything as black as charcoal. That’s what you call not bad…” Yoochun rolls his eyes at Yunho. “Well, I have training to undergo though.” “I pity whoever that is gonna teach you. You are not teachable when comes to cooking…” “Are you doing your revenge by degrading me like this?” Before Yunho can finish his words, his blackberry vibrated. ‘A text message from Kim Junsu.’ read the screen. “Hyung, may I have Yoochun’s address. Despite that you said he still lives in the old house, I still wanna confirm again. I want to settle the stuff between us later. Junsu”
/* I shall see who will have the last laugh today you grease-cheese. */ He thought before texting back Junsu.
After the lunch with Yunho, Yoochun is back in the office looking at his compositions and not long after Donghae comes in informing him that he is done for the day and able to leave. He thanks Donghae and grab his apartment keys after Donghae have left the room. He is planning to go back home and cook his dinner today. But first he needs a trip down the supermarket since he has no groceries at home.
Spending almost an hour to get the stuff to stock up his house, he drives home and put the groceries in their respective places. Then, he goes to his composing room and by the time he comes out of the room it’s already 2 hours later. /* I should start cooking dinner soon. */ Yoochun walk down to the living room and plays the music in the stereo before proceeding to the kitchen and start preparing his dinner. While he is washing the rice in the pot, the doorbell rings. “Hold on!” he shouted before putting the pot on the counter. He rush out to the door and opens it. His face drains of colour, mouth opens slightly and eyes wide open. He stares at the person on his doorstep, wondering is he hallucinating. “Umm… hey?” Junsu greets. Yoochun snaps back to reality and greets “Hey to you too… come in.” stepping aside to let Junsu walk into the house.
/* The house just stood the same, like what Yunho hyung has said. */ As Junsu looks around. “Why didn’t you move house or change the arrangement?” Turning around to face Yoochun, who is closing the door. “That’s because… I was afraid that one day you might come back and can’t find me here. Also, I don’t want to have the only thing I left together with you to leave my side too. As for the arrangement, I didn’t touch it because I know how much you hate things not being in the same place as arranged and for me, its been a habit that can’t change.” Yoochun replies looking at the floor leaning on the door for some support. If this is a dream, he rather not wakes up from it. He wanted Junsu to come back for too long already. “Umm… take a seat, I’ll get you a drink.” He walks to the kitchen, avoiding Junsu’s eyes.
‘…Your my last love neon nae majimak sarang your my last love kkeuteul hamkke hal saram…’ as Junsu listens to the music while walking to the couch. He picks up the CD case on the table and notices it’s all the same genre just that different artistes in a disc. Junsu is able to pick out some of the songs that he has been listening to and some are his favourites. ‘Andwae yo nal no ha beori myeon him deu reo do yeo gi deo meo mulleo yo…’ Yoochun sees that Junsu is staring at the track list on the cover, breaks the thoughts that Junsu has. “Those are my songs that other artistes sang.” Junsu looks up to him, still holding on to the case. Thousands of questions flooded his mind, as Yoochun walk towards him. /* Did you just say these are your songs? Why of all sudden I find that I don’t know you anymore? */ The Yoochun he knows composes songs that speak about happiness, not like the current ones that are so melancholy. /* Why not? He’s been depressing, do you expect him to continue composing happy songs in that manner? Junsu’s inner self smacked the answer right into his face. */
“So, I take it as you noticed the change in my compositions.” Yoochun’s voice breaks Junsu’s spaced out moment. “Here’s your drink.” “Thanks.” Taking a sip, Junsu turn and look at Yoochun. “I know you want to ask why I have this. Let’s just say I’m also drinking this for my health.” Yoochun reply him. “I know last time no matter what you say I just won’t budge, but actually I’ve been drinking them secretly since the first day you asked me to.” Junsu is shock to know about this. He doesn’t remember Yoochun drinking that at all when they are together. /* This can’t be real! The Yoochun I know doesn’t drink this at all! I must be hallucinating now… */ “I know what you are thinking. I am still the Yoochun you knew. Just that I am changing for the better, hoping that one day my effort will be rewarded with what I wish and wanted for.” Yoochun explanation left Junsu stunned for a moment. He forgot that Yoochun reads him like a book and vice versa. But looks like it’s not the case anymore…
“I hope you don’t mind my bluntness, but I’m curious what brings you here today?” After a moment of awkward silence, Yoochun drops the bomb. Junsu stare at him wondering in his mind how to give him the answer that he wants to convey.
