It turns out that spoony as an adjective and a noun has been in use for hundreds of years, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Who knew? Maybe that wasn't a mistranslation at all.

Also HOLY FUCKING CHRIST it snowed so hard it snowed inside my windows, between the main window and the storm window. Jesus.
