Thank you so much for writing my request! Here are some hints and tips, but I’m overall pretty easy to please, so if you write about my favourite characters and avoid my Do Not Wants (DNW), I know I’ll love it.
In general I am slash, het and gen friendly, and happy with G to NC17. Probably best to avoid any serious kink as it’s so individual. I love a good, long plotty story, but am also happy with a character or relationship focused piece, and good dialogue is my favourite thing in the world.
Request 1: The Night Manager, Jonathan Pine and Richard Roper.
DNW: Death fic, AUs, Crossovers, threesomes.
Optional details: I loved this show. I really enjoyed the tense, highly-charged, but quite understated atmosphere.
I’d like the focus to be on the relationship/interactions between Pine and Roper, but am very flexible about the nature of that relationship, whether purely focused on the cat and mouse, give and take, antagonism we got on screen, or a slashy slant (I’m ok with non con here - if you went down this route explicitly, given the nature of the plot, I think it would have to be at least dub-con!) and the slash could be either explicit or implied/sub-text. I’m fine with the cannon relationships including Corky and Jed, although no threesomes please.
No AUs please, but I’m happy with it set any time during or after the show.
Request 2: Elvis Cole - Robert Crais, Elvis and Joe
DNW: Death fic, unhappy endings.
Optional details: How much do I love these guys? Beyond the telling of it. Almost anything would delight me, so long as you keep them together and happy. I’d like the focus to be on their relationship, but either BFFs or slash is fine. No other romantic relationships, though please, whether you go gen or slash. Other than that, whatever you like! Take them AU; backstory; set in a cannon story; a new case; whatever you want, I can’t wait to read it.
Request 3: Death in Paradise, Richard Poole.
DNW: Dark fic.
Optional details: I loved Richard. Write me fic focused on him and I’m happy. I’d just really like it not to focus on his death, please (if you keep it cannon just ignore it, or indeed if you go cannon but decide he doesn’t die, that’s fine with me!). Cannon, AUs, I’m good with it all so long as he’s in character and it’s a happy fic. If you do go with a romantic relationship then just Richard and Camille please, although there’s no need, gen is totally fine. If you'd like a plot bunny, I do have a bit of a yen for a school au in this fandom: Camille and Dwayne the cool (but nice!) kids, Richard and Fidel... not so cool! Maybe Doug Anderson as a school bully who gets his comeuppance? But please don’t feel constrained by that idea, just a suggestion, I look forward to anything you do.
