i'm in venice. it's grand. i don't know where you're staying, but when i first got to la a long-long time ago, i stayed in a place near hollywood & vine (i think it was called the vine lodge hotel?) and it was $30/wk. not bad, especially for the 2nd floor, which was apparently roach-free (this is opposed to the first floor, upon which at least an inch of the critters crawled over every surface.)
anyway, if you're desparate for a place, it's worth a trip to see how deep the bug company would be.

must go overdose on gelato now.

i'm in hollywood as i type. i keep wanting to tell someone 'holler at your boy' in a really dispirited tone. i can't decide if i'm still cool or not. fucking hell.
