def. just updated my phasebook status to "Well, it's a good thing no one overreacted," as that (said with just the right amounts of subtle sarcasm & ironical self-awareness) has been established as the new mantra for my life. i had this thought the other day that it's important to focus on pursuing what makes you happy, instead of what makes someone realize that you fill a void - ie. that you're miss-able, better than the alternative gaping girl-void, etc. ...which Brian counters by reminding me that the heart growing fonder due to absence isn't really an increase in love, just a realization of loneliness, or lacking. Not necessarily of anything important or imperative to happiness...just...lacking.
...which is unsettling and empty...but until i can officially come to terms with that (once i've already figured this next part out) i will pass along my latest in-theory pursuit, in hopes that you'll get it and then impart it/explain it to me:
